Update:

Just got word from Dufresne Furniture and Appliances that I will have resolution by the end of this week. I’m still shaking my head, though; it took me two weeks to really make a big fuss, because quite frankly, I didn't want to. I shouldn't have to start defaming a company before they start working hard to fix a problem. A consumer shouldn't have to threaten a company's reputation before they start working to have a good one. What about the hypothetical little old lady down the street, does she have to wash her laundry by hand for weeks because she doesn't know how to launch a social media campaign? Not okay.

I absolutely hate having to make a huge fuss just to get what I paid for. And I hate that I now have absolutely no intention to ever again buy from either LG or Dufresne, and it’s a crying shame because I really liked the staff at our local Dufresne and we were quite looking forwards to going back in the spring for kitchen appliances when we do that renovation. (And I’ll say this: LG makes a good product. But LG needs to back up that product by being willing to replace it when that rare occasion happens that it breaks soon after being purchased. And until they do, I will never, ever buy another product with that brand name again.)

Speaking of. Does anyone have a recommendation as to who we can trust with our business for those kitchen appliances? Because if I buy a brand new fridge and it dies on me, I will definitely lose my … cool.

  1. I would say try Sears...we and my FIL's family have only ever bought their appliances there. No problems...yet, lol!
