two-page digi layout – pink overload

My internet was down for the night and I was too tired to do anything physical, so I got some more digital scrapbooking. The net was down b/c the hubster had unplugged the main box downstairs, but I didn’t mind … he was painting my craft room, installing the laminate flooring, and painting and possibly installing beadboard in there as well. (painting first and installing after because he’s a sloppy painter, he didn’t want his prego lady painting, and he didn’t want to mess up the new floor.) He’s actually still working on it while I type this, I think he intends to wait for it to dry and install it tonight yet. So, unplug my internet, make a paint mess all over my kitchen sink, track mud into the house, I don’t care. Quite frankly, as far as I’m concerned, the man farts glitter right now. pinkjune1 copy I’m sure you’re all getting way way sick of these pictures by now. I promise, last time. Except for maybe next week sometime when I forego my pride and ask you to go on facebook and fan Ottawa Cloth Diapers and vote for the one (on page 2) with her standing on the swing in their summer photo contest by ‘like’ing it. Shameless. (But at the same time, if you go check it out and like another picture better, go with that. Fair is fair.)pinkjune2 copy In other news, I’m going to try canning tomorrow. I’ll do salsa and strawberry jam. I bought the Bernadin starter kit at Zellers. BECAUSE WALMART DID NOT HAVE IT. Or any cans except one tiny pack of the cute little super decorative ones. I even went twice. I was pretty shocked, not gonna lie.

DID I MENTION MY HUSBAND IS FINISHING MY CRAFT ROOM RIGHT NOW AND THAT IS SUPER EXCITING?! Look forwards to ‘finished’ pictures of that room and my basement in the next two weeks! There’s brackets because I’m not sure when the drop ceiling goes in and I don’t even care anymore. My square footage of useable space is about to go through the roof and I’m so happy.

Aaaand my internet just went back on. Timing = excellent.

(As is often the case, the pieces for this layout were from Two Peas In A Bucket)

Flash(light) Dance Layout

I had a Norwex party last night! I used to swear I would never use Norwex because I just didn’t see how it could be good enough to justify the expense. However, after attending a party and getting a few samples, I totally got it. Norwex cloths are exceptionally high quality, and the solutions (like my number one crush, the Room Deodorizer) are highly concentrated and meant to be diluted once purchased. Not to mention chemical-free and natural, using enzymes in place of chemicals a lot of the time. LOVE. Anways, I finished tidying up before the party a bit early, so I threw together a two-page layout! Once again, all the pieces for these pages are from a kit from www.youcanmakethis.com … it is so nice to have a cute little kit to use over and over in unique ways to make sure I can come out with an album that has a feeling of unity. LOVE, AGAIN.

Don’t forget to comment on the Giveaway Post before January 20 for a chance to win a Leapfrog fridge toy! I’m very excited to be getting one for a review, as well. (And shipping says I’ll get it on the day the giveaway ends!)

My Funny Little Diva

nicole poser

I used to do a bit of digital scrapbooking, but I haven’t in at least a year. Over the last few days I’ve been collecting some cute free digital kits, and then today I picked up the adorable one I used to make this layout on http://www.youcanmakethis.com for less than five bucks. I used the program paint.net and its a free download, and then to print this out 12x12 at costco is just over $2. Not bad, considering I’d like to do an entire album using the set I bought. The colors are just so perfect for nicole, they are a lot of the colors I tend to dress her in, they just match her vibrant personality. I love light pink and ruffles and lace but this girl just calls for brights. lol. Anyways, when I finished this layout I stepped back and had a giggle fit because her sweater matches the layout! NOT DELIBERATE. I am accidently brilliant…? teehee. (click on the image above to see it in a bigger yet still reasonably small size.)

I quickly whipped it up when I was in a cranky mood and while I waited for my hubby to be ready to leave for christmas gifts at my parents place.

Oh! and I will share a charming little tidbit with you. When I got home from shopping for gifts last night, I opened the fridge to put away the milk I had bought because, well, we were out of milk. In the spot where the milk always sits, my husband had left a large, milk-less bowl of cheerios. You think he was trying to tell me something? hahahaha. Clever boy.
